The 2010 Sims 3 Tournament runs from January to November. Individual challenges start every 3rd Friday and run for 10 weeks before closing. The Tournament winner will be the player at the top of the World Ranking and will receive a complimentary future EA Expansion Pack (courtesy of Carl) as well as a 2010 Sims 3 Tournament Championship Plaque (courtesy of Metro). 2010 Tournament ScheduleJanuary 1 - March 14. The Perfectly Happy Challenge. The 2010 tournament season kicks off with this challenge. The goal is achieving perfection: catching Perfect fish, planting Perfect fruits and vegetables, and cooking Perfect recipes. Racking up as many Lifetime Happiness points is also a key scoring component. Participate

January 22 - April 4. Zeus and Hera's Nectar-Making Invitational. The gods of nectar-making have returned to compete right alongside Sunset Valley and Riverview Sims. Players will be restricted to one trip to France to purchase their initial nectar-making gear, so deciding when to go will be key. This tourney boils down to a simple all-out war on who can make the most simoleans from selling nectar. Participate

February 12 - April 25. The Sunset Valley/Riverview Team Upgrade Race. Form a team of 3 Sims and Upgrade all public facility objects in both towns as quickly as possible. Your team is allowed one vacation to any destination providing an additional opportunity to earn money for Upgrading objects — limited use of the kaching cheat will be allowed for this competition.
March 5 - May 16. The Career Couples' Grand Slam Challenge. A straightforward, but nerve-racking endeavor where your 2 Sims attempt to max out 4 different Career paths to earn a "Grand Slam." Completing as many different Career Opportunities will also be scored. The clock is ticking in this one — the player who can max 8 different careers quickly while completing the most Career Opportunities will win. Participate

March 26 - June 6. Baby Boomer II: 50 Days of Extreme Parenting. You start with two Sims and will attempt to not only have as many children as possible, but you'll also be scored on the children achieving key milestones in their development.

April 16 - June 27. Political "Traiter" to the World. There are traitors, and then there are
traiters...the latter being highly skilled Charismatic and Friendly Sims who just have a knack for discovering other Sims' traits. Your Sim will be tasked to raise lots of funds for the political machine, plus discover as many traits as possible of all Sims everywhere with a hefty bonus awarded for NPC traits. As in real life, political careers are often very brief, so this will be an intense, short challenge. Shake hands with this challenge

May 7 - July 18. House Hunters: Movin' On Up! A unique competition involving a couple who are never satisfied with the stock houses available and continually move to improve their Furnished Lot Value. The catch? No building at all, plus only one object may be purchased per move. Move into this challenge

May 28 - August 8. The Crazy Eights Collector's Challenge.8 very different collections, each with 8 items. It's an unlimited time event for a solo Sim. Think you can acquire all 64 items? The player that can do it the fastest wins. Take up a collection

June 18 - August 29. The Random Wishmaster's Quartet.Brace yourselves for something really different...a completely random challenge. You're allowing the game to choose gender, appearance, traits, Lifetime Wishes, and regular ongoing wishes for four different Sims. Scoring will be based on total Lifetime Happiness Points acquired over 100 days. Sign up randomly

July 9 - September 19. Following Romantic Interests to the Letter.You'll definitely want to get all of your ducks in a row for this one because you'll only have 36 days to acquire as many Romantic Interests as possible. It will be a smooching frenzy as you'll be seeking Romantic Interests in your hometown as well as all 3 World Adventures' locations. The tricky part will be that each succeeding Romantic Interest will need to come later in the alphabet.
Pucker up!July 30 - October 10. The da Vinci's All You Can Make Buffet.It's an all out money-making war to see if your two Sims can top the da Vincis. Household Funds will be the sole scoring component with the important restriction that your two Sims can only make money via Inventing, Sculpting, Painting, and the Culinary Career and Cooking.
August 20 - October 31. Grim Reaper's Skill Challenge of Sorrow.The clock is ticking for your 3 Elder Sims in this ultra-short Normal length challenge. For a unique twist on things, you'll be allowed to keep needs static to maximize your skill building. But that won't prevent the inevitable visit from Grim in just two short weeks! Players will be scored on maxed skills, skill challenges completed, and finally, individual skill points of non-maxed skills. Cheat your way to some fun

September 10 - November 21. Tournament Finale: Setting the Stage for Maximum Moodlets.You start with a single Young Adult. The goal of maximum +mood for a given snapshot in each life stage — Baby, Toddler, Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder — must be supplied by a different Sim for each stage. Only moodlets unique to each Sim will count for score, so this will take some planning.
